Hello Brewers,

I seem to have the same situation as last year. When I think that I will only be out of the USA for a month or so, it turns out to be more like three to four months. I have been in China most of this time with a four day trip to India last month. I was also in Thailand for two days.

Before I talk about beer, I thought it would be fun to show a few things I found in China. Some of these things require more than a few beers to even consider eating.

The names of a city in China is almost always just a Chinese language description of the location. the "Wei" means fortress, and "Hai" means 'by the sea'.

These little "lobsters" are quite plentiful and honestly not very good.

China has just one "time zone" for the entire country. In the eastern cities of Beijing and Weihai, the sunrises at 4:30 AM. Fisherman head out to the water before that time to catch these.

Buckets and more buckets of live fish, clams, squids, and some other things that I am not sure of.

The night market is always busy.

The people of Weihai are mostly middle to lower income factory workers. There are many expensive malls and shopping areas in Weihai and it is no surprise that those stores are not very busy. People go the the street markets not only for food, but  clothes, cell phones, toys, and just about anything else.
